Mega predators9/1/2023 ![]() Unlike other Predators, it was said in the script that they bleed black blood. However, it has been confirmed that the multiple laser sights was done as a promotional shot in the trailer. In the sneak peek, it is seen there are much more than three laser sights which imply there are more Super Predators than just three. This may mean the Super Predators are Yautja Bad Bloods. So, they may be hated by other Yautja society. Robert Rodrigeuz stated that they are outcast Yautja and it is possible that they have been sent to the Game Preserve Planet as their punishment.Likely, however, it was referring to his skill and not his subspecies. The Term "Super Predator" was first used in Predator: Concrete Jungle to refer to Scarface.Noland described it as a blood feud that had apparently been going on for some time. The Super Predator Clan is in some sort of war with the Jungle Hunter Clan for an unknown reason. The Super Predators share a similar characteristic with the Killer Yautjas as they also captured and controlled Xenomorphs for their own use. It is said that they are constantly trying to improve themselves to become better killers, and that is why they use the most dangerous of prey in order to improve their technology and tactics. They appear to value Trophies and large numbers of kills rather than honor in the Hunt or in the individual kill. Super Predators have also been seen to use Hell-Hounds for "flushing out" their prey. Another feature is that they (unlike their cousins) have no qualms about killing an unarmed or injured/crippled enemy. When hunting, they use traps, preferring to induce fear and panic into their prey in an attempt to make them run. This unique vision mode has not been seen being used by any Yautja other than the Super Predators. The Super Predators are also seen using Vocal Mimicry, a Remote Detonator, and Cloaks. Like most Yautja, the Super Predators use bio-helmets boasting unique appearances, however, these bio-helmets have a new vision mode allowing the Super Predators to detect the pulse of prey. So far the Super Predators are the only Yautja known to use Predator Falcons, but it is likely they are not the only users of this device. The Falconer Super Predator was also shown using a Predator Falcon to track his prey. They also have tighter armor, being less metal and more leather in appearance. They do differ in various ways in terms of culture the first difference is they only have a single Wristblade on their wrist gauntlets, they also use a Gatling gun type of Plasmacaster. However, they use the same technology as the Jungle Hunters, only some of it appears to be more advanced. Please help by improving the page.īerserker, Falconer, and Tracker appear to be in a blood feud with the smaller Jungle Hunter Yautja. " It looks like damage." This article, or a section of this article, does not meet Xenopedia's standards. Hunting Culture, Clothing, Armor and Technology A Super Predator's trill is also much deeper and far more beast-like/feral than the trill of commonly seen Predators. They also possess a longer face, giving them a small "snout" and more reptilian looking in effect. Another feature is their dreadlocks, which are far more swept back than those found on "normal" Yautja. They have a more reptilian appearance than their better-known cousins and have scaly skin in addition to different color pigmentation. They are larger than mainstream Predators (in terms of muscularity) but still stand at around 7 feet tall (or more) like the "normal" Predators. And eminent paleo-ecologist Dr David Burney takes us on a journey to Madagascar to uncover the fate of the huge gorilla-sized lemur."Not many." ― Royce and Noland, discussing the Super Predators (from Predators) ![]() They say that climate was the killer: at the end of the Ice Age, huge floods and devastating droughts could have wiped out an army of giant mammals. Some scientists say that what killed the Mega Beasts was Man early human hunters could have made light work of these huge creatures using primitive but deadly weapons. In a brief moment of geological time at the end of the last Ice Age, hundreds of species simply disappeared: seventeen foot tall ground Sloths giant woolly Mammoths Madagascan Lemurs the size of gorillas ferocious predators like Australia s Marsupial Lion. But then the Beasts began to die and no one knows why. And, like the dinosaurs, they were every bit as fearsome and every bit as bizarre. The Mega Beasts had inherited the Earth from the dinosaurs. For sixty five million years, a vast array of fantastic creatures had roamed the prehistoric world. It s one of the most enduring mysteries of modern science. ![]()

This book uses the We can work around this by factoring inside the function. This format ends up being very difficult to work with, because it is usually much easier to horizontally stretch a graph before shifting. To solve for x, x, we would first subtract 3, resulting in a horizontal shift, and then divide by 2, causing a horizontal compression. What input to g g would produce that output? In other words, what value of x x will allow g ( x ) = f ( 2 x + 3 ) = 12 ? g ( x ) = f ( 2 x + 3 ) = 12 ? We would need 2 x + 3 = 7. When we write g ( x ) = f ( 2 x + 3 ), g ( x ) = f ( 2 x + 3 ), for example, we have to think about how the inputs to the function g g relate to the inputs to the function f. Horizontal transformations are a little trickier to think about. In other words, multiplication before addition. Given the output value of f ( x ), f ( x ), we first multiply by 2, causing the vertical stretch, and then add 3, causing the vertical shift. When we see an expression such as 2 f ( x ) + 3, 2 f ( x ) + 3, which transformation should we start with? The answer here follows nicely from the order of operations. For example, vertically shifting by 3 and then vertically stretching by 2 does not create the same graph as vertically stretching by 2 and then vertically shifting by 3, because when we shift first, both the original function and the shift get stretched, while only the original function gets stretched when we stretch first. When combining transformations, it is very important to consider the order of the transformations. Write a formula for the toolkit square root function horizontally stretched by a factor of 3. Figure 19 shows a function multiplied by constant factors 2 and 0.5 and the resulting vertical stretch and compression. If the constant is greater than 1, we get a vertical stretch if the constant is between 0 and 1, we get a vertical compression. When we multiply a function by a positive constant, we get a function whose graph is stretched or compressed vertically in relation to the graph of the original function. Each change has a specific effect that can be seen graphically. We can transform the inside (input values) of a function or we can transform the outside (output values) of a function. We now explore the effects of multiplying the inputs or outputs by some quantity. Is the function f ( s ) = s 4 + 3 s 2 + 7 f ( s ) = s 4 + 3 s 2 + 7 even, odd, or neither? Graphing Functions Using Stretches and CompressionsĪdding a constant to the inputs or outputs of a function changed the position of a graph with respect to the axes, but it did not affect the shape of a graph. For a function g ( x ) = f ( x ) + k, g ( x ) = f ( x ) + k, the function f ( x ) f ( x ) is shifted vertically k k units. In other words, we add the same constant to the output value of the function regardless of the input. The simplest shift is a vertical shift, moving the graph up or down, because this transformation involves adding a positive or negative constant to the function. One simple kind of transformation involves shifting the entire graph of a function up, down, right, or left. There are systematic ways to alter functions to construct appropriate models for the problems we are trying to solve. One method we can employ is to adapt the basic graphs of the toolkit functions to build new models for a given scenario. Often when given a problem, we try to model the scenario using mathematics in the form of words, tables, graphs, and equations. Graphing Functions Using Vertical and Horizontal Shifts In this section, we will take a look at several kinds of transformations. In a similar way, we can distort or transform mathematical functions to better adapt them to describing objects or processes in the real world. But what happens when we bend a flexible mirror? Like a carnival funhouse mirror, it presents us with a distorted image of ourselves, stretched or compressed horizontally or vertically. When we tilt the mirror, the images we see may shift horizontally or vertically. We all know that a flat mirror enables us to see an accurate image of ourselves and whatever is behind us. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() TamponadeĬardiac tamponade occurs when the pericardial sac fills with fluid, leading to cardiac arrest. The treatment for pulseless electrical activity caused by a toxin will depend on the type of toxin responsible. Some of the different types of toxins that may cause this condition include local anesthetics, tricyclic antidepressants, opioids and benzodiazepines. ToxinsĪ variety of different toxins can cause pulseless electrical activity. Possible treatments involve surgical removal of the clot, percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy and administration of fibrinolytics. Most cases of pulmonary thrombosis begin with deep vein thrombosis. Treating cardiac thrombosis usually involves an intervention designed to resolve the clot, such as primary percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary angiography. ![]() Ventilation and restoring oxygen levels is the best treatment for hypoxia. Low oxygen levels can occur for many different reasons, including asthma, anemia, drowning and many other conditions. The root cause of hypovolemia should be addressed as well. The recommended treatment for hypovolemia involves infusion of blood products and/or warmed crystalloids. This may occur for many different reasons, from vomiting to blood loss. Hypovolemia occurs when extracellular fluid levels in the body drop too low. When hypothermia is the cause of PEA, rewarming of the patient’s body is the recommended treatment to return temperature to normal. Hypothermia occurs when body temperature drops to a dangerous level. The treatment of hyperkalemia involves protecting the heart, shifting potassium into cells and taking steps to remove potassium from the body. Hyperkalemia occurs when potassium levels are dangerously high. Administration of potassium is recommended in cases of hypokalemia. Hypokalemia is a common electrolyte disturbance that can cause PEA when potassium levels drop to dangerous lows. if the patient is suffering from respiratory acidosis, ventilation is the recommended treatment. If the patient is suffering from metabolic acidosis, the treatment may involve sodium bicarbonate administration. Hydrogen Ion (Acidosis)Īcidosis can be quickly confirmed with an arterial blood gas. The basic treatment recommendations for each of these potential causes of PEA are detailed below. After the factors contributing to the development of PEA have been identified, treatment of PEA typically involves reversing the cause of the event. Epinephrine should also be administered every three to five minutes while the cause of the PEA is identified. Regardless of the cause of PEA, the first step in treating this condition is always to begin chest compressions based on the advanced cardiac life support protocol. These issues are broken down into five H’s and five T’s. The 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care recommends that healthcare providers assess 10 different possible issues that could cause PEA when this type of cardiac arrest occurs. When PEA is being treated in a hospital setting, the recommended course of action typically depends on the suspected cause of cardiac arrest. The treatment recommendations for patients with pulseless electrical activity vary based on whether the patient is in the hospital or outside of the hospital at the time of the event, as well as the cause of the PEA. The survival rate is even lower when PEA presents after countershock instead of as the initial rhythm. Studies show that only 2 to 5 percent of patients who experience PEA outside of the hospital will survive. Pulseless electrical activity is associated with a poor prognosis for patients. Studies indicate that pulseless electrical activity accounts for as many as 40 percent of cardiac arrests in the hospital and as many as 40 percent of cardiac arrest events outside of the hospital. Patients may experience PEA after a drug overdose, myocardial infarction, trauma, hypothermia, hypoglycemia, cardiac tamponade, pulmonary embolism, or sepsis. Possible causes of pulseless electrical activity include ionic perturbations, metabolic acidosis, ischemia and hypoxia. Pulseless electrical activity may occur because of any issue that inhibits the shortening of myocardial fibers, thus preventing mechanical contractions. ![]()

Ipad pro omnifocus9/1/2023 ![]() ![]() Just take a look at Todist, OrganizePro, Pagico, Wunderlist, etc There are now a LOT of alternatives out there, and a lot of them have more compelling feature set. If your day is too busy, reschedule tasks to a later date (life happens, this is normal). Check on your list on a daily basis to start. Last, put this app front and center on your Desktop, smart phone, and tablets. When over time, your set of tasks grow, consider adding a OmniFocus feature or two. A hyper-organized list of tasks will NOT make it easier to get them done. If you are starting out managing tasks, don't overdo it. Unlike apps such as Todoist, OmniFocus can start simple, and grow with you as your needs grow. This is why I use the term "Expert Friendly". If your set of task management grows, OmniFocus has the features that will allow handle the growth. HINT: You don't have to use every OmniFocus feature. OmniFocus gives you a number of ways to do something so YOU decide what subset of features you need to use. I have found OmniFocus to be amazingly useful. For us long-time Mac users, they're one of those developers who has stuck with the Mac, listens to their customers, and develop unique applications that you just KNOW WORKS. OmniFocus lets me prioritize and FILTER much better – and more consistently.Īnd OmniGroup is really, IMO, such a cool company worth supporting. But the result is a constant list of 50-100 tasks in "Today". Overall, in Things I end up with way too many tasks in the Today view, because everything I don't wanna forget ends up going there. This is HUGE! If you have complete a given client project before you can invoice it, there's no reason that the "send invoice for the project" shows up in your list of admin-work to do. Projects can be set as "sequential" – and you'll only see the next action in your action lists. In OmniFocus, you have true dependencies. ![]() "next actions" in Things 3 is as bad an implementation as it was in Things 2. They don't do anything else than visually divide your task list into sections.ĥ. You can't collapse them, to create a less cluttered view. But compared to OmniFocus' true, fantastic outlining capabilities: their usefulness is very very small. Things 3's sections/headers were a nice, welcome addition to Things 2. Immensely useful! One click, and you see your tasks from the exact perspective – filtered exactly like you've configured it.Ĥ. OmniFocus on the other hand, has Perspectives, which is like "saved searches on steroids". a tag-filtered Today view, to some project, and back again: your Today view is no longer filtered by that/those tag(s): it's back to its default view of everything. ![]() ![]() This is particularly problematic since it doesn't has tabs either. OmniGroup on the other hand offers EXCELLENT, attentive support AND listens to their users/customers.ģ. Cultured Code never listens to user feedback, let alone entice communication with their users. Things 2 had a switch for that, but 3 doesn't. No way to easily see which tasks are due and overdue. I've used previous versions of both apps for many years.ġ. Right now there's a workaround where you can add things to Reminders and OmniFocus will scrape it to add it to itself. After having used Things 3 for a year, I've switched to OmniFocus. Only thing lacking for me is Siri support - I wish the iOS version could add items using Siri (but that's not Omni's fault). I also keep the OmniFocus complication on my Apple Watch face to quickly tell me what I have due today. Being able to assign a hotkey sequence to add items from anywhere on OS X is very helpful as well. But I also use it instead of the Reminders app for general life stuff because it's able to better handle recurring events, dependencies, and attachments. I still use it for work only when I get super busy with stuff which is less frequent for me now. It helped me to keep track of deadlines and different project dependencies. I used to use it consistently back when I was doing more development work for my job. I've been using OmniFocus for at least 6-7 years or so? Can't remember exactly, but I started with OmniFocus 1. ![]()
